Abe announces Japan’s refusal to participate in any wars

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that the country will never again participate in wars.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister of Japan said this, speaking at a memorial ceremony dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the surrender of Tokyo.

He recalled that the last war killed more than 3 million inhabitants. According to him, now Japan is committed to peace and prosperity and will refuse to participate in any wars.

“Never repeat a destructive war. This oath did not change during the era of Showa and Heisei and will not be changed,” said Abe.

Also, according to him, the Japanese side will work with other countries and help in resolving various issues facing the country.

After Abe, the new emperor of Japan, Naruhito, spoke. He expressed the hope that the war would never happen again.
