Russian leader Vladimir Putin criticized the work of the Governor of the Irkutsk region, Sergei Levchenko, because he did not immediately begin to liquidate the floods in the region.
According to him, top officials of the regions should not shy away from responsibility in solving such problems.
As noted, the head of state asked Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko who is at the head of the flood response commission.
Mutko replied that the governor was in the region, but until recently the deputy governor and chairman of the regional government Ruslan Bolotov headed the commission.
The President emphasized that this is wrong and should not be so.
