The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine has confirmed the liquidation of the Kiev Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC).
It is noted that the Kiev Patriarchate was annexed to the Kiev Metropolis by the new religious structure of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, which was not recognized by local churches.
It is specified that the Ministry of Culture will regard attempts to block the process of state registration of a number of religious organizations as interference in the activities of officials.
In addition, all the functions of the Kiev Patriarchate passed into the competence of the governing bodies of the PCU. She also received all the powers and legal grounds for making decisions about the future of religious organizations that were previously under the auspices of the UOC-KP.
Earlier it was reported that Patriarch Filaret declared unlawful the liquidation of the Kiev Patriarchate.
